The west Highlands are Scotland at its most dramatic — and a rewarding campervan loop that's often quieter than the famous NC500.
The route
From Glasgow, head to Loch Lomond and Glencoe, on to Fort William beneath Ben Nevis, then the Isle of Skye and back via Oban.

The highlights
- Glencoe — one of the most photographed glens in Scotland.
- The Isle of Skye — the Cuillin, the Quiraing and the Fairy Pools.
- Oban & the west coast — seafood, ferries and island views.

Combine it with the Cairngorms or the full North Coast 500 for a longer trip.
